Remembering Dick Kiel

Probably the most memorable thing about Dick Kiel was his smile—so regularly a part of his countenance, so representative of his friendly, positive approach to life.

Dick was a founding member of SNaP, one of the first Trustees, and our second Board Chairman and President. Dick wrote the original business plan, which is revised each year and still in use. His leadership skills were evident in the development and implementation of SNaP and he remained a trusted advisor long after his terms as President and Trustee ended. He was whole-heartedly supportive of the SNaP vision and mission, from the first organizing meetings in 2007 until his death on August 31, 2017.

Our get-togethers—Annual Meeting, Pancake Breakfast, Pot Luck Supper, and so on—always were a little brighter and more special because Dick and his wife Bonnie were there. We shall certainly miss him.

Contributions to SNaP are welcome, and are tax-deductible under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
